48 required or a score of 464 on the ParaPro test
College hours, high school diploma or GED for
Non-Title I campus
Communicate and work with students
Maintain effective working relationships
Minimum clerical skills
Good physical and emotional condition
Work with confidential material
Paraprofessional aide certificate required once employed

Primary Purpose:
Assist the teacher with instructional needs as appropriate
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist teachers with the preparation, implementation, and data collection of student academic, behavioral, and functional goals, accommodations, modifications, and delivery of supports Deliver accommodations, modifications, and other supports to students with special education services in whole group, small group, or individually, as described in the IEP. Assist teachers with classroom management and behavioral plans. Perform other duties as assigned. Maintain confidential student records.
Working Conditions:
Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling. Move small stacks of textbooks, media equipment, desks, and other classroom or adaptive equipment. May be required to lift and position students with physical disabilities; control behavior through physical restraint; and assist nonambulatory students. Expose to biological hazards.
