Travel Nurse RN - PICU in Lake Charles, LA

Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night, 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00) Guaranteed Hours: Information not provided Experience: 2 years of PICU experience preferred License: LA State or Compact RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have: Experienced PICU RN skills Job Description: - Start date: ASAP - Orientation will encompass 16 hours. - Must be willing to work rotating weekends. - No on-call duties are required. - Floating is required; if census is down, the candidate will float to Pediatrics and NICU. - Navy Blue scrubs are the required unit uniform color. - Experience with Allscripts/Paragon Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system is necessary. - First-time travelers are accepted. - Local candidates are welcome. - COVID-19 vaccine status is unknown; however, the flu vaccine is required with medical or religious exemptions only. - Travel Compliance requires Requests for Time Off (RTO) to be kept minimal; preferably no time off requests during the first two weeks of the assignment, with any RTO needing prior approval and documentation. - Expectation to work some holidays during the assignment. - The orientation program includes non-billable modules recorded through HealthStream, requiring 4 hours to complete.
