Position: Business Management Analyst

Location: Huntsville, AL

Status: Full-time exempt


Position Description:

Gray Analytics is seeking a Business Management Analyst to serve as the Business Management Analyst for the Rapid Capabilities and Critical Technologies (RCCTO) Direct Energy Prototyping Office (DEPO), which is responsible for the development, testing, integration, and fielding of the Army's Direct Energy capability. The Business Management Analyst will support DEPO program management by providing business management and analysis skills and must be a self-starter, able to work at an increased pace, and willing to provide direct on-site support to the customer.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the day-to-day efforts for budget actions that support the project office budgetary execution plans and provide direction to junior budget analysts
  • Ensure project office's Business Program functions smoothly
  • Plan and execute customer and direct funding requirements
  • Analyze, assess, and monitor the use of customer and direct financial resources
  • Monitor contract (prime and SETA) status to include ceiling limits, period of performance and funding requirements. Must be able to prepare and report analysis using the Microsoft Office Suite of tools
  • Performs research and analysis tasks to obtain a variety of cost, schedule, performance, contract data; monitors project progress and analyzes reported data to provide leadership meaningful analysis and recommendations regarding project status.
  • Recommends procedures for preparing, documenting, validating, and presenting resource requirements to higher authority
  • Participates in Contract Integrated Product Teams (IPT), monthly Program Management Reviews (PMRs), Financial / Metric Meetings, etc.
  • Provides support and advice on program status and funding requirements due to changes in program plans
  • Provides support in submission of taskers from internal inquiries, higher Headquarters and other government agencies
  • Lead General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS)

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 5 years relevant experience, to include leading others
  • Experienced in interfacing directly with government representatives
  • Coordinating and executing funding actions in support of Department of Defense (DoD)
  • Preparing and submitting Purchase Requisitions (PRs), Military Interdepartmental Purchase Requests (MIPRs), and Direct Charge (DC) transactions
  • Monitoring funds execution and creating financial reports

Required Skills:

  • Ability to manage diverse workloads of complex and priority projects without supervision
  • Ability to provide strong, day to day leadership and direction of junior employees to execute quick turn actions aligned with strategic goals
  • Possess strong listening, written and oral communication skills
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
  • MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance

Desired Qualifications:

  • Firm understanding of industry best practices
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high paced, multitasking environment
  • 10+ years of relevant experience

Security Requirements:

  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
