Allied Universal® is hiring a Global Safety and Security Technology Specialist. The Global Safety and Security Technology Specialist plays a critical role in supporting a highly valued client in Irvine, California. The Global Safety and Security Technology Specialist is responsible for managing and supporting our physical security software, hardware, and physical security systems, ensuring they are effectively managed and always online. The Specialist will assist the Lead Technology Administrator and work collaboratively with a global team (in person and remotely) on projects located in the U.S., Europe, and Asia.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and maintain security platforms and networked systems to ensure optimal performance and security across a global footprint
- Provide end-user support and administrator services for security systems (Access Control and CCTV)
- Assist in the rollout of software and network upgrades at the system or device level
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to access control systems and CCTV systems
- Commission and test Physical Security systems
- Perform administrative system updates and maintain system organization
- Act as a co-point of escalation for technical issues from CG's Global Security Operations Center
- Assist the Lead Technology and System Administrator with software and technology programs
- Assist client staff and end users with badging and site access issues
- Remotely access hardware and troubleshoot devices
- Escalate issues and assist contracted repair engineers
Qualifications:
- Must possess one of the following;
- Bachelor's degree in technology, security, or related field
- High school diploma with a minimum of five (5) of years of experience in the technology/CCTV systems/security industry
- Post hire, completion of each of the following:
- Access Control System training (Essentials, Admin, and System Training courses)
- Avigilon CCTV administrative online training sessions
- Minimum of one (1) of year of experience in the managing technology, CCTV systems, preferably in the protective service industry
- Strong understanding of IT concepts and management of IT systems
- Practical knowledge of effective enterprise-wide software management
- Understanding of how CCTV and access control systems work
- Ability to learn and support systems and end users
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong understanding of IT concepts and management of IT systems.
- Willingness to undergo Access Control System training prior to start (Essentials, Admin, and System Training courses).
- Willingness to undergo Avigilon CCTV administrative training sessions online.
- Very good practical knowledge of effective enterprise-wide software management.
- Understanding of how CCTV & Access Control systems work (or a keen interest in the IT side of the security and safety industry).
- Ability and desire to learn and support systems and end users.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):
- Experience in effective enterprise-wide software management.
- Experience in maintaining and upgrading enterprise-wide software.
- Troubleshooting Physical Security Hardware. SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proactive and eager to learn new technology and systems.
