About this position:

We are looking to hire a Software Automation Tester. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of various applications through comprehensive testing and automation. You'll collaborate across teams, use tools like Jira and Xray, and need skills in Confluence, Jira, Unix, SQL, communication, and SDLC knowledge.

Salary Range: 80k-125k - Compensation is determined by the candidate's expertise, experience, and location

On a day-to-day basis you will:

  1. Develop test plans, test cases, test scripts and test reports for various applications based on business requirements
  2. Develop test automation scripts.
  3. Perform test automation using tools like Selenium, Xray
  4. Perform functional testing on various business components, modules and functionalities.
  5. Perform other testing aspects such as system testing, regression testing, integration testing
  6. Validate that user expectations are achieved during the testing process.
  7. Review and analyze user requirement documents in tools such as JIRA.
  8. Identify and facilitate issue resolution with functional and technical groups
  9. Document the entire quality assurance testing process in test management tools such as Xray, Jira and communicate the test results to the team constantly.
  10. Work with other functional Testers and non-functional testers and collaborate with project manager, developers, business analysts and representatives from business units throughout the testing process.
  11. Participate in the user stories review meeting, project sync-up meeting, and other meetings as required.

Required Education/Qualifications:

  • Security Clearance: Top-Secret security clearance, fully adjudicated.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Tools and Technologies:
    • Proficiency in Test Automation, experienced with tools like Selenium and Xray for test management.
    • Skilled in API Testing using tools such as Postman, RestAssured, and SoapUI.
    • Experienced with Git for version control.
    • Proficient in utilizing JIRA for requirement tracking and defect reporting.
    • Basic knowledge of UNIX command-line operations and SQL for database data validation.
    • Familiar with CI/CD integration, including the use of tools like Jenkins and GitLab CI.
    • Understanding of foundational Web Technologies: HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript.
    • Knowledge of Performance Testing Tools, including JMeter.
    • Experience in Cross-Browser Testing to ensure compatibility across various browsers.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, Project, and SharePoint).
  • Possesses strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills for debugging purposes.
  • Education: Associate degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent field, or equivalent experience/combined education
  • Self-driven, customer-focused, Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
  • Experience in Agile and DevSecOps methodologies, and project management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Previous experience working with DoD systems, showcasing familiarity with defense-related projects and security requirements.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Familiarity with Personnel Security is a plus.
  • Certifications: Security + CE preferred
