The Product Owner will serve as the bridge between stakeholders and the development team, ensuring that the product vision is effectively translated into actionable deliverables. Key Responsibilities:
- Product Vision & Strategy:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define and communicate a clear product vision and roadmap aligned with iLink's mission and design philosophy.
- Ensure that the product vision is understood and embraced by the development team.
- Backlog Management:
- Create, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog based on business value, user needs, and technical feasibility.
- Write clear and concise user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Gather and analyze requirements from business stakeholders, customers, and end-users.
- Facilitate regular communication between stakeholders and the development team to manage expectations.
- Handoff Deliverables:
- Prepare comprehensive documentation, including user stories, acceptance criteria, and mockups, to hand off to the development team.
- Ensure that deliverables are aligned with the design team's outputs and meet quality standards.
- Collaboration with Design & Development Teams:
- Work closely with UI/UX designers to incorporate user-centric designs into the product.
- Collaborate with the development team during sprints to clarify requirements and accept completed stories.
- User-Centric Focus:
- Advocate for the end-user by ensuring that the product meets real user needs and provides meaningful experiences.
- Incorporate user feedback and analytics to refine product features.
- Ethical & Privacy Considerations:
- Ensure that the product adheres to ethical standards and privacy regulations.
- Avoid implementing dark patterns or deceptive design practices.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to enhance product development.
- Leverage responsible use of AI and emerging technologies to anticipate user needs.
- Education:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 9+ years of experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role within an agile environment.
- 2+ years experience in Veterinary or Human Medicine.
- Proven track record of delivering successful software products.
- Project management certifications and experience is an asset
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Trello).
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Proficiency in collaboration tools and basic understanding of UI/UX principles.
