Job Summary We are looking for a skilled System Security Specialist to support production system services and other information systems initiatives. The specialist will focus on technical research, system design, and the implementation of Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 solutions while ensuring compliance with cybersecurity best practices. This role requires collaboration with IT staff, mentoring team members, and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation. Key Responsibilities Design and implement cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure or Microsoft 365 adhering to industry and cybersecurity best practices. Administer and troubleshoot Microsoft Entra (formerly Azure Active Directory). Develop and execute a comprehensive security plan leveraging tools such as Windows Defender, Data Loss Prevention, and Advanced Threat Protection. Modernize on-premises applications using Azure services. Integrate third-party applications with vendor support. Provide Tier-3 technical support and resolve advanced technical issues. Communicate technical issues to technical and non-technical audiences effectively. Create and maintain project documentation, including infrastructure diagrams and knowledge-based articles. Lead Azure-related projects, collaborating with team members as needed. Support Microsoft 365 products, including Office 365 Apps and Microsoft Teams. Monitor Microsoft 365 and Azure services, preparing reports on usage and system health. Serve as a Microsoft Windows escalation resource and mentor team members. Conduct regular assessments of Microsoft 365 and cloud environments to address deficiencies. Collaborate with InfoSec teams to align designs with security best practices. Required Qualifications 3 years of experience with Azure and O365 services, including Exchange Online, Power Platform, Identity, and Microsoft Teams. Expertise in Azure Directory Sync in hybrid environments. Experience with Microsoft Windows Server OS (2016, 2019, 2022). In-depth knowledge of Azure and O365 application and infrastructure architecture. Practical understanding of networking principles. Proven ability to design and support Microsoft 365 Government (GCC) environments. Proficiency in PowerShell for managing and troubleshooting Microsoft 365 environments. Strong project leadership skills and architectural input for system designs. Education: Bachelors Degree
