IPG Photonics is seeking a dedicated process-driven accounting professional to join our Corporate Finance team in a role supporting our consolidated financial reporting processes in Planful. We are looking for a dynamic individual who is seeking an opportunity to join a growing company in a collegial environment that can provide opportunities for professional and career development.
Responsibilities
Process close related jobs and tasks, including journal entries for financial consolidation and compiling financial reporting packages. Provide Planful system support, ensure data integrity from subsidiary ERP systems to Planful, and troubleshoot issues within the close. Review data loads and templates completed by the subsidiaries for accuracy, completeness, and operational trends. Compile and communicate monthly foreign exchange rates to U.S. and foreign Finance teams. Work with U.S. and foreign Finance teams to understand accounting practices and consolidate their monthly reporting packages. Complete quarterly and annual government surveys. Build and maintain Planful reports to enhance and improve the reporting process. Administer the Planful database by maintaining the system dimensions and hierarchies. Compile quarterly reporting packages for the Board of Directors and Audit Committee. Compile monthly reporting packages for upper management. Provide training to members of the finance team on utilizing consolidation system and changes in the consolidation process. Coordinate with external auditors and internal resources to ensure timely and accurate delivery of audit schedules. Ad-hoc projects including integrating new legal entities and improving the close process. Proactively build relationships within the various teams at IPG, including international controllers, U.S. Finance team, Sales, Purchasing, Legal, and IT. Requirements: Experience: 3-5 years of accounting experience in financial close and/or consolidation process. Financial reporting experience pertaining to large, multi-national organizations focusing on manufacturing or technology a plus. SEC experience a plus. Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
Skills
Previous financial reporting experience a plus. Strong understanding of GAAP. Previous experience with Workiva Wdesk a plus. Display effective communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Possess a high level of organization and attention to detail. Interest in and dedication to implementing and enhancing processes. Previous consolidation systems experience, Planful (formerly Host Analytics) experience is a plus. Some travel may be required.
