We are seeking a motivated and experienced integration and test lead across our missile defense targets projects.
The focus of the role is on the development, planning, cost, schedule and technical execution of several target efforts within the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) and the US Navy’s Program Executive Office for Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS).
This candidate will support the existing APL Project Managers to maintain focus on integration, testing, planning, and execution.
As the Targets Integration and Test Execution Lead you would: Support missile defense exercises through target design activities – ensure testing is adequate to sponsor and mission execution needs, both on- and off-range Support targets as integration and test expert - lead technical meetings within APL to coordinate multiple disciplines into an integrated product Coordinate test resource usage both within APL and externally, working with all stakeholders to ensure that facilities, personnel, and technical requirements are met Serve as a point of contact for testing within APL and interface with MDA , PEO IWS, and International Project Arrangements that fall under PEO IWS 4.0 International Program Offices, Naval Surface Warfare Center Port Hueneme Division Detachment White Sands (WSMR), Missile Defense Ranges (Wallops, Hebrides, PMRF, others), and Contractor Organizations
Qualifications
You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you... Possess a BS in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or related discipline Have 5 or more years of applicable experience in missile development, requirements development, missile integration and test, and/or missile defense flight testing Are willing and able to travel approximately once every three months to target contractor facilities with additional occasional travel to US and Foreign test ranges. Hold an active Secret security clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship. You'll go above and beyond our minimum requirements if you... Have a MS or PhD in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, or Physics Have experience in project management Have experience with MDA and PEO IWS sponsors and international target test planning and coordination Have experience working with US and international flight test ranges Have knowledge of APL's quality management processes and procedure Hold an active Top Secret security clearance or have the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.

The referenced pay range is based on JHU APL’s good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level with consideration for internal parity. For salaried employees scheduled to work less than 40 hours per week, annual salary will be prorated based on the number of hours worked. APL may offer bonuses or other forms of compensation per internal policy and/or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be provided in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, locality allowance or discretionary payments for exceptional performance. APL provides eligible staff with a comprehensive benefits package including retirement plans, paid time off, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, flexible spending accounts, education assistance, and training and development.
