Summary This Salesforce Data Cloud Architect will lead the technical design, implementation and optimization of Salesforce Data Cloud, with a focus on its functionality as a customer data platform and its integration with Salesforce Marketing Cloud. This role manages the technical aspects of these platforms, ensuring seamless data operations and supporting data-driven initiatives that drive revenue growth, enhance marketing performance and unify data across the organization. Success in this role requires deep expertise in data warehousing, data integration, governance and a comprehensive understanding of the Salesforce ecosystem, particularly the synergy between Data Cloud and Marketing Cloud. Essential Functions Lead the architecture and design of advanced Salesforce Data Cloud solutions, ensuring they meet complex business requirements, and ensuring all data is consolidated and actionable to future-proof the organization's data strategy. Develop and implement data integration solutions that connect disparate data sources across business functions, creating a unified, accurate and accessible data ecosystem. Create audience segmentations and dynamic marketing automation workflows that drive targeted and personalized marketing campaigns, enhancing customer engagement and conversion rates. Architect solutions that enable real-time data processing and synchronization across platforms, providing the organization with real-time data for quick and informed decision-making. Implement and manage integration between Salesforce Data Cloud and various data sources using APIs, ETL tools and other integration technologies to create a single source of truth across the organization. Collaborate with the data intelligence team and other data stewards to maintain high standards of data quality, ensuring information is reliable, consistent and aligned with business needs across all Salesforce platforms. Provide expert-level support and maintenance for existing data solutions, continuously monitoring performance, resolving issues and implementing enhancements to optimize system efficiency and reliability. Establish data collection and management of data best practices that will serve as the foundation for future AI applications and innovations. Work closely with the data intelligence team and business unit stakeholders to translate goals into scalable technical solutions, ensuring alignment between business strategy and technical execution. Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for data models, automations, workflows and other custom solutions. Other duties as assigned. Required Education and Experience Four-year degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field 5 years of experience in Salesforce development and architecture, with a focus on designing solutions for Data Cloud and/or Marketing Cloud. Proven experience with Salesforce Data Cloud implementations. Deep understanding of Salesforce Data Cloud architecture, features and capabilities, including its integration points with Marketing Cloud. Strong knowledge of Apex, Lightning components and Salesforce development tools. Proficiency in moderately complex SQL and SOQL queries. Experience using Salesforce data tools (Dataloader.io, DemandTools). Experience in integrating with cloud-based data warehouses/data lakes (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks). Experience in researching, evaluating and recommending data management tools and technology, including possible future use of AI. Detail oriented with strong organizational, project management and analytical skills. Strong collaboration skills and experience working with various business units and stakeholders. Comfortable communicating complex topics in a way others will understand. Ability to travel domestically up to 5% of the time. Preferred Education and Experience Active Salesforce certifications related to Architect, Data Cloud, Marketing Cloud or Platform Developer. Implementation experience with Marketing Cloud functionality including audience segmentation, campaigns, personalization, intelligence, journey builder and other related automations. Knowledge and understanding of Google Analytics and/or other web analytics tools. Experience with non-profits, associations or membership-based organizations Work Location and Schedule This position is eligible for NAB's Hybrid Work Schedule of three days (Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday) in the D.C. office each week.
