Assisting the UME deans with day-to-day operations of the unit; maintaining UME deans' calendars, electronically; coordinating meetings and events for the UME deans; responding to phone calls and inquiries; and daily UME unit operational needs; typing and composing correspondence while respecting the confidential nature of such materials; and functioning as a liaison with the University and/or SoM offices and internal and external stakeholders. In addition, will prepare necessary reports and/or administrative documents and track processes; assist UME deans in the preparation of a variety of reports for submission to the Dean's office and other academic entities. Incumbent will also be familiar with Purchasing (TU Marketplace) and invoice processing and reconciliation. Required Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of directly related experience in a higher education and/or medical education environment. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Required Skills & Abilities: Demonstrated ability to organize large, ongoing projects with multiple deadlines. Demonstrated skills in MS Office Suite and proficiency with database software programs, along with the ability to learn new software applications. Ability to synthesize and analyze data. Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated interpersonal and customer service skills, along with the ability to interact with a diverse constituent population. Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated ability to handle challenging situations with diplomacy and tact. Preferred Experience supporting academic courses. Experience with academic content management system.
