This role focuses on providing legal counseling, risk management, claims monitoring, and dispute resolution services to design and construction professionals, including architects, engineers, construction managers, and their professional liability insurers. The successful candidate will engage in resolving complex legal matters while working collaboratively with stakeholders in a collegial environment. Duties
Evaluate and manage complex disputes involving sophisticated parties. Provide strategic direction to resolve high-value design and construction claims. Develop and implement effective resolution strategies. Litigation Oversight :
Prosecute, defend, and resolve disputes with input from industry experts. Collaborate with local counsel to ensure seamless case management.
Provide risk management advice for significant claims in construction and design. Analyze emerging issues such as AI applications, alternative delivery models, and risk insurance frameworks. Stakeholder Collaboration :
Engage with clients, experts, and other stakeholders to advance legal and risk management objectives.
Requirements
Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Admitted to practice in Massachusetts (admission in other New England states is a plus). Experience At least three years of legal experience in complex litigation or the design and construction industry. Demonstrated ability to work independently and handle sophisticated legal matters. Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Superior legal research and writing skills. Proven ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Interest in modern construction projects and associated legal frameworks. Excellent organizational and efficiency skills. Education
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited institution. Certifications
Active license to practice law in Massachusetts (required). Health and Wellness
