A law firm seeks an experienced litigation attorney to join its Construction Practice Group in Tallahassee, FL. This full-time, non-partner-track position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with 2 to 5 years of litigation experience. The role involves managing a high volume of cases, many of which proceed through arbitration rather than traditional court settings. The position requires self-motivation, independence, and a commitment to delivering high-quality legal services. Duties

Conduct legal research and draft motions, pleadings, and other court or arbitration filings. Manage discovery processes, including drafting and responding to discovery requests. Handle court and arbitration appearances, including arguing motions and participating in hearings. Participate in mediation and arbitrations to resolve disputes. Provide legal counsel on construction-related disputes, including insurance claims, design defects, and construction defects. Oversee and manage support staff and paralegals assigned to cases. Work collaboratively with attorneys in other locations as needed. Requirements

Experience:

2 to 5 years of litigation experience, including discovery, motion practice, depositions, and some trial work. Expertise:

Preferred experience in mediation, arbitration, and construction-related litigation, such as insurance claims or defect disputes. Attributes:

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management abilities. Track Record:

Demonstrated success in settling cases effectively. Education

Juris Doctorate (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school. Certifications

Active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar. Skills

Strong legal research and analytical skills. Excellent written and oral communication abilities. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple cases and tasks effectively. Proven ability to work autonomously and maintain focus in a high-volume setting. Leadership skills, with prior experience managing a team of paralegals or support staff preferred.
