Job DescriptionSenior Business/Civil Litigation Attorney - RemoteThis is a growing litigation and family law group focused on serving California individuals and businesses.Description of the Position:Primary duties will include:Handling business litigation and other civil litigation cases such as breach of contract claims, real estate disputes, real property disputes, construction defect disputes, and employment law disputes.Meeting with clients.Drafting pleadings.Administering depositions.Propounding and responding to discovery.Conducting research.Writing motions.Making court appearances.Arguing motions.Participating in trials.Interviewing witnesses.Drafting agreements.Negotiating settlements.Attending mediations and arbitrations.Handling civil litigation cases and other activities requested by the partners.Requirements:Must be a licensed California attorney.Excellent academic credentials.Strong work ethic and reliability are a must.Exemplary client service skills with prompt response levels at all times.Desire to make court appearances, argue motions, and participate in hearings.10+ years of experience as a licensed attorney.Detail-oriented with strong drafting and negotiating skills and the ability to communicate legal subject matter to non-attorneys.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, business judgment, and strategic legal thinking.Ability to manage workflow independently to meet firm deadlines while achieving business and risk management objectives.Courtroom experience but not a prerequisite.Knowledge of the Code of Civil Procedure.This job profile is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of job duties and responsibilities, as one may perform additional related duties as assigned in order to meet the needs of the organization.Job Type:
