Civil Construction Superintendent

  • Set-up new job sites with trailers, electricity, sewer
  • Search job site area for dump sites
  • Ensure all SWPPP is properly set up and maintained
  • Ensure traffic control is installed per the plans and maintained daily
  • Participate and ensure safety meetings are held daily.
  • Report safety meeting minutes back to main office
  • Attend and participate in scheduled project meetings
  • Prepare progress report for scheduled project meetings
  • Provide input for Project schedule
  • Familiar with all aspects of the job estimate
  • Request job budget information from Project Management
  • Ensure trucking tickets and delivery tickets are properly coded against correct item numbers
  • Communicate and coordinate with job customers and clients on a professional level
  • Provide daily reports to Project Management showing quantities installed for the day, manpower used, equipment on site and materials received.
  • Ensure monthly quantity billings match quantity billings turned in by Inspectors
  • Manage manpower against budget man-hours.
  • Manage equipment needs and daily equipment maintenance
  • Handle all manpower needs and schedules, coordinating needs and availability with other job site superintendents
  • Ensure line supervision is using latest issued plans and specifications
  • Ensure line supervision understands critical details of work activities
  • Inform Project Management of need for change orders based on scope of work changes
  • Assist in estimating change orders
  • Ensure materials installed are in accordance with the approved submittals for the job
  • Attend weekly Superintendents meetings and report job progress.
  • Act as Reytec Company representative on all issues involving the general public
  • Manage trucking requirements for the job. Ensure truckers are working as efficiently as possible.
  • Ensure time sheets are properly coded and turned into the office by the required deadline
  • Handle all personnel issues including job classifications, hourly wages
  • Make sure One-Calls made every two days.
