Digital and Marketing Specialist [14 month contract]
Status: Full time
Reports to: Vice President, Communications and Donor Engagement

The Foundation is seeking a Digital and Marketing Specialist to cover a maternity leave, join a highly-motivated team of professionals and play an integral role in inviting our community to be part of a historic fundraising campaign, our largest ever.
This is an exciting time to join the Foundation. We are at the ground level of our next chapter and each and every team member will contribute to our success in raising funds that will transform our hospital in the years to come.
Position:
This role, reporting to the VP of Communications and Donor Engagement and working closely with the Manager of Marketing and Communications, is responsible for developing and executing digital production strategies and supporting on marketing communication efforts.
Roles & Responsibilities - Digital Production and Operations
In partnership with the VP, Communications and Donor Engagement and the Manager, Marketing and Communications, manage and optimize St. Joe's digital content production, website maintenance, email deployment, and data analytics, ensuring brand consistency, SEO alignment, and digital tool effectiveness across all channels.
• Create and maintain a production calendar for digital operations
• Code, test and deploy emails through Luminate Online, ensuring deliverability and performance.
• Create and manage donation forms, surveys, and list logic in Luminate Online.
• Build and update webpages in WordPress and Luminate Online using existing templates, ensuring alignment with St. Joe's brand standards and optimizing for SEO
• Proactively maintain all St. Joe's websites, overseeing updates and ensuring domain ownership and certifications are up-to-date.
• Lead new website development projects as needed, managing external vendors and developers to ensure quality.
• Manage Google Dashboards, Ads Grant and Ads and analyze digital data to draw key recommendations around website, email and campaign optimization
• Lead team training sessions and demos on digital tools and practices to encourage adoption.
• Develop expertise in digital tools, including WordPress and Luminate Online, to maximize their impact for the organization.
Roles & Responsibilities - Marketing Communications
Collaborate with the VP of Communications & Donor Engagement and the Manager of Marketing & Communications to support the Foundation's content strategy, adapting content for digital channels (writing/design) and sourcing relevant content for email, website, and social media.
• Maintain a content calendar for all digital content
• Manage the administrative side of social media presence, e.g. ensuring platforms' visuals reflect brand, scheduling posts, community management, collaboration and alignment with Unity Health social communications.
• Support the design of small projects such as sponsorship presentations, invitations, flyers
• Capture and edit photos and short videos for digital use.
• Monitor digital marketing trends and best practices in fundraising to identify opportunities for increasing engagement and traffic.
• Be part of ensuring consistent messaging across all communication channels.
• Assist the VP of Communications & Donor Engagement in developing and executing marketing and communications strategies for events.
Qualifications
• Passion for healthcare and helping to improve the west-end community
• University or college degree in a related field
• 3-5 years of related digital production and communication experience - agency or non-profit experience preferable
• Experience working on a small, high performing team is an asset
• Highly organized and must be able to juggle multiple projects at the same time
• High level experience building, designing and revising webpages in Wordpress, or comparable platform; web development and knowledge of HTML a must
• Familiarity with digital tools (Hootsuite) and advertising tools (Google Ads and Ads Grants. (Google Ads certification preferred)
• Proven ability in understanding and reporting analytics and data (Google Analytics Certification) as well as other digital tools to identify trends, set goals, report on performance and modify content.
• Experience managing social media (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter)
• Strong writing skills with attention to grammar and detail.
• Proficiency in PowerPoint and Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro).
• Familiarity with design and communication tools such as Word, Excel, Mailchimp, Canva, and Adobe Premiere Pro/Rush.
• Experience with Blackbaud's Luminate Online and TeamRaiser an asset
• Must be available to work occasional evenings and weekends for fundraising and donor events

Compensation
- Salary range is between $60,000-$75,000, commensurate with experience
