The ideal candidate will be responsible for estimating project costs and preparing proposals for structural steel fabrication and erection projects. This role combines technical knowledge with sales skills to drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Estimate costs for structural steel projects including fabrication, material, labor, and equipment.
- Review project drawings, specifications, and client requirements to prepare accurate bids.
- Prepare and submit detailed proposals, ensuring all client needs and specifications are addressed.
- Collaborate with sales and project management teams to ensure alignment on project scope and deliverables.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and vendors.
- Follow up on bids and proposals to close sales and secure contracts.
- Track project costs and adjust estimates as needed throughout the sales process.
- 2+ years of experience in sales estimating for structural steel or construction industry.
- Strong understanding of structural steel fabrication and erection processes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating software.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
