Responsibilities
- A consulting engineering firm which provides mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and information technology system design services internationally to architects and professionals in the construction industry.
- Specializes in designs for large institutional projects such as museums, aquariums, performing arts centers, and educational buildings
- Develop detailed HVAC system designs, including ductwork, piping, central plants and controls.
- Drafting 2D and 3D designs utilizing Revit
- Collaborate with architects, electrical engineers, and other MEPF professionals to integrate mechanical systems with overall building designs.
- Attend client meetings to discuss project scope, requirements, and design solutions.
- Ensure designs comply with local, state, and national codes (e.g., ASHRAE, NFPA, IPC, IMC) and energy efficiency standards.
- Stay updated on changes to codes and industry best practices to ensure compliance.
- Conduct site visits to monitor the installation of mechanical systems, ensuring adherence to design specifications and safety protocols.
- Integrate sustainable design principles, including LEED certification or equivalent green building standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum of 6-10 years of relevant experience
- PE license
- Team player with proven ability to work collaboratively both internally and externally to accomplish goals
- Strong attention to detail
