A consulting engineering firm which provides mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and information technology system design services internationally to architects and professionals in the construction industry. Specializes in designs for large institutional projects such as museums, aquariums, performing arts centers, and educational buildings.

Responsibilities

  • Design building power and lighting systems, including lighting control systems, fire alarm systems, security and information technology systems
  • Drafting 2D and 3D designs utilizing Revit
  • Ensure designs meet local, state, and national electrical codes (e.g., NEC, NFPA, IEEE) and energy efficiency standards.
  • Prepare load calculations, short-circuit analysis, and voltage drop calculations to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor the progress of electrical installations, ensuring adherence to design specifications and safety standards.
  • Design electrical systems in alignment with LEED certification or other sustainability guidelines, if applicable.
  • Attend client meetings to discuss project scope, requirements, and design solutions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum of 6-10 years of relevant experience and PE license
  • Team player with proven ability to work collaboratively both internally and externally to accomplish goals
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Contributes their own personal strengths and can be depended on to respect the differences of fellow employees
