Software Engineer
to join our dynamic team in Chantilly, VA. In this role, you will be at the forefront of developing, designing, and optimizing software systems that support mission-critical operations. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop detailed software solutions, translating customer and system requirements into actionable designs. Create and define system interfaces that ensure seamless integration across platforms. Collaborate with a talented team to deliver robust and scalable applications using technologies such as SOLR, Elastic, Postgres, Java, Scala, RDS, and Spring Boot. Work with both relational and non-relational databases like Amazon RDS, DynamoDB, and Postgres to ensure data is efficiently managed and accessed. Troubleshoot and optimize internet and web protocols and technologies, including Tomcat, Node.js, Web Services, and SSL. Develop and maintain automated unit tests using tools such as JUnit, Jasmine, Jest, or Karma to ensure application reliability and performance. Utilize DevOps tools such as Git, Jenkins, and Nexus for seamless integration and deployment workflows. Work with cloud technologies, including AWS and Docker, to build, deploy, and scale applications in a cloud environment. Required Skills and Experience: Proven experience in developing detailed designs and delivering system solutions. Ability to translate customer and system requirements into clear and effective software designs. Strong hands-on experience with application development using technologies such as SOLR, Elastic, Postgres, Java, Scala, RDS, or Spring Boot. Experience with both relational and non-relational databases, including Amazon RDS, DynamoDB, and Postgres. Proficient in troubleshooting and optimizing internet and web technologies, such as Tomcat, Node.js, Web Services, and SSL. Hands-on experience developing JUnit and Jasmine tests to ensure software quality. Familiarity with testing platforms like Jest or Karma. Practical experience with DevOps tools such as Git, Jenkins, and Nexus for continuous integration. Strong knowledge of cloud technologies, specifically AWS, and containerization with Docker. methodology for software development. Experience using
ErDoS
for managing top-line charts, sprint burn-up charts, and sprint goals. Demonstrated experience working with the Sponsor's
data repositories, Segmentation service, SecOps Pipeline , and
Automated Sponsor JIRA Workflow . Recent experience with the Sponsor's suite of
repository and search applications , enabling users to efficiently find vital information. Experience working with the Sponsor's
profile and alerting services , which help match incoming data streams with user profiles and send alerts on relevant matches. In-depth knowledge of the Sponsor's
discovery and recommendation services , which filter and recommend data based on user preferences using content-based approaches. Hands-on experience with the
Pre-NLP processing pipeline , ensuring the removal of boilerplate text, portion marks, and non-narrative content to optimize data quality.
