Job Summary:

The Grants and Contracts Manager plays a pivotal role on Camp Fire's Advancement team, overseeing the execution and management of a comprehensive grants and contracts program. This position is responsible for identifying and researching potential funding sources, soliciting for grant awards and contracts to meet the needs of Camp Fire programs, and stewarding and reporting to existing funders to effectively share the impact of their investment in Camp Fire First Texas. The ideal candidate will have prior fundraising experience, possess excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with Camp Fire leadership and funders, and be knowledgeable on funding trends. This position will work with both private and public (government) entities to meet our funding needs.

Essential Functions:

Creation and management of an organization-wide grants and contracts calendar, including regular updating for application and reporting deadlines. This position works closely with program leadership to identify required deliverables and finance/accounting to ensure compliance, accurate tracking of grant and contract budgets, and various other requirements. Achieve budgeted goals for Camp Fire's grants and contracts program. Strengthen relationships with an assigned donor portfolio, with a focus on retention and growth Prospective funder research and identification to grow Camp Fire's grants and contracts funding pipeline Cross-functional team communication; supports three programs in meeting their respective funding needs - Outdoor Connections, Youth Development and Early Education Workforce Development. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the donor database, Bloomerang. Ability to lift 25 pounds. Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing. Ability to drive and have their own reliable transportation. Ability to use standard office equipment. Must pass a criminal background check. Ability to work evenings and weekends, as needed. Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Demonstrated record of successful grant and contract awards Minimum 3 years of experience Bachelor's Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of relevant education, training, and experience Effective self-organizer, with meticulous attention to detail and workflow management Excellent research and problem-solving skills Proven ability to assess funding opportunities to determine a viable fit for Camp Fire and our programs Knowledge and familiarity with government grants and contracts Ability to maintain poise and composure in high-activity seasons of work, and be able to ask for support when needed Firm foundation of knowledge in nonprofit fundraising, including general giving trends that specifically impact corporations, foundations, and government entities. Experience in nonprofit CRM software Excellent oral and written communication Ability to interact meaningfully with our supporters Experience in making in-person presentations and gift solicitations High level of diplomacy, confidentiality, and ethical standards as outlined in the AFP Code of Ethical Principles And Standards of Professional Practice A collaborative spirit and a team mindset. Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Bloomerang or Raiser's Edge CRM experience preferred Awareness of the funder landscape in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex Desire to take advantage of opportunities to represent Camp Fire in the community Knowledge of budget development and management

Relationships:

Communicate and collaborate with the Camp Fire staff to understand our needs and achieve fundraising goals. Build and maintain strong relationships with donors and donor prospects. Maintain a keen awareness and knowledge of Fort Worth and the greater North Texas philanthropic community.

Specific Duties

Grants and Contracts Program Management

Create and track all funding opportunities in Bloomerang (Camp Fire's CRM) and update/manage them consistently Ability to meet application and reporting deadlines through multi-level calendar and systems management Meet monthly with program leadership and Finance/Accounting team to update and forecast revenue for grants and contracts Work with Donor Relations Specialist to ensure funder and prospect records are updated, gifts and opportunities are entered accurately in the CRM, and acknowledgements are sent timely

Prospect Research and Identification

Identify, research, and qualify potential new funders, utilizing subscription services and resources as routinely and often as possible Work with pertinent team members, at Chief Advancement Officer's direction, on strategy and plans to develop new supporter relationships Awareness of current giving trends that could impact our funding pipeline for the organization and each of our programmatic focus areas Relationship Management

Manage an assigned donor portfolio, including the creation and execution of opportunities for each constituent Work with the Chief Advancement Officer and pertinent team members on prospect and donor engagement strategies Visit and/or communicate with grant and contract funders routinely and as opportunities allow Stewardship and Reporting

Work closely with the Advancement team and Camp Fire program leaders to provide reports to funders that effectively demonstrate the impact of their investment in Camp Fire. Examples of this include required funder reports and "soft touch" reports/updates to keep funders engaged in our mission. Work with Director of Development to include grant and contract funders in existing donor stewardship activities for the organization Collaborate with Director of Marketing and Communications on opportunities to highlight funders as they permit Support Data and Impact initiatives for the organization

General Responsibilities

Maintain knowledge of Camp Fire programs, services, and operations Healthy collaboration with the Advancement team is a must Attend Camp Fire and community events at the Chief Advancement Officer's direction
