Job Duties
Ensure the Integrated Eligibility Systems are always available for the Department of Health and Human Services (DHS) so that the citizens of US can get their benefits. • Performed health checks on regular basis for all IES, HIX and CCAP applications. • Provide state of art CI/CD architecture solutions considering industry best practices which lead to high quality build and deployments procedures that minimize production down times for production patch and major code releases. • Monitored the load on peak time to make sure all authentication and flow of the application accessed properly . • Applied patches after hr in non-prod and weekends to active production environments. • Interacted with users on timely manner for any issues/concerns raised.
Provide 24x7 support and monitor the production environment health to ensure high availability IE System. • Monitored all production applications and addresses any issues reported by user. • Created dashboards for all applications for monitoring purposes and added respective error codes. • Customized all applications health checks using blue/green process. • Created logstat to inject logs in Elastic search (ELK) for all applications indexes.
Design and implement complete Production monitoring system for IE solutions using Splunk, Zabbix and custom scripts, which help WAS Admin team to address all the infrastructure issues upfront providing high-quality service to the clients. • Installed and configured Zabbix and created all dashboards as per the application requirements. • Created custom dashboards in Splunk as per application team requirement. • Set up monitoring systems and alerts for complete infrastructure, Monitor SLA (service level agreement) and KPI (Key Performance Indicators) of the system in accordance with the system agreement and take necessary actions in case of any breaches. • Install and configure a new monitoring tool - Zabbix for production and lower environments.
Research and evaluate different technologies to identify best tool suitable for the implementations, which will save time and money with high quality. • Presented a successful case study on enterprise-wide adoption of Cherwell Service Management at Cherwell's Global Conference in 2021 following the seamless replacement of a highly customized service management platform. • Achieved a $600,000 budget reduction by implementing Lean methodologies - identifying and addressing inefficiencies in password resets and security-related activities that optimized resource allocation and promoted cost-saving measures. I was active in value stream mapping, Gemba walks, and Lean events that helped our department, too.
Led, coached, and mentored cross-functional technical teams in IT infrastructure and Cloud of "Application hosting platforms, Web, Middleware, Messaging and API Integrations" including system/network security, disaster recovery and business continuation, risk assessment and management, system administration, and technical operations support in 24x7 environment. • Worked extensively with API Management product of Apigee Edge in consuming the API's in implementing customer use cases. • Apigee was used for the creation, deployment, debugging & maintenance of all client facing APIs. • Installed, configured, administered WebSphere Application Server 8.x ND on Redhat Linux. • Installed and configured different COTS products and maintained them successfully. • Involved in upgrades and patching activities for all COTS products. • Designed and implemented all automated workflows using GitLab, Jenkins and automated all deployments and health checks after server maintenance / patching.

Experience providing Apigee Edge Platform diagnostic and troubleshooting ability. Successful implementation of Workload Management (WLM) using Cloning and Clustering techniques including horizontal and vertical cloning for failover. • Worked extensively with API Management product of Apigee Edge in consuming the API's in implementing customer use cases. • Apigee was used for the creation, deployment, debugging & maintenance of all client facing APIs. • Implemented Security mechanism (OAUTH 2.0) of the APIs using Apigee Edge platform. • Created design documents for the API integration architecture. • Responsible for securing API proxies using various mechanisms like API Key, OAuth, LDAP, Content Protection policies in Apigee Edge. • Implemented OAuth 2.0 (Authorization Code and Client Credentials) integrated with SSO Integration. • Provided necessary user access for app owners to get their API secure key.
Experience in applying plug-ins for WebSphere Application Servers with IBM HTTP Server, Apache Tomcat server on Linux, Sun Solaris, and Windows Platforms. • Applied and synced the plugin to all envirnonment whenever any changes in the application side. • Making sure after all patching activities environment will be in sync and all instances are up and running. • Experience in troubleshooting issues using Traces, Logs and Log Analyzer. • Used WebSphere Admin Console and wsadmin scripting to install enterprise EAR, WAR files for hot deployment. • Involved in 90 days oracle password change process through JACL script.
Demonstrated ability in installation, configuration and management of provision tools chef, Puppet and Ansible. • Automated multiple jobs like start/stop through Tower. • Integrated and written multiple YAML scripts for deployment to integrated with different COTS products. • Automated Quarterly patching through Ansible Tower to provide support to resilience team. • Automated deployment process and API teams and provided necessary training on how to use and troubleshooting if any issues occur. • Automated APIGEE user toles to update KVM values and integrate with end users.
