Logistics Coordinator

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Logistics Manager in the management of transportation and flow of goods across various locations. This role ensures that shipments are planned, coordinated, and executed efficiently to meet delivery deadlines while optimizing cost and ensuring compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with the Logistics Manager to schedule the movement of shipments from origin to destination, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods. Monitor the status of deliveries and provide regular updates. Communicate with carriers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve transportation issues, delays, or disruptions. Maintain and track shipping records, ensuring accurate documentation for all shipments. Optimize transportation routes to reduce costs and improve delivery efficiency. Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation laws, regulations, and company policies. Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading, manifests, and export/import paperwork. Collaborate with warehouse and procurement teams to ensure proper inventory management and timely dispatch of goods. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, carrier options, and regulatory changes. Qualifications:
1 (one) or more years of experience in logistics, transportation coordination, or supply chain operations. Knowledge of shipping regulations, freight terminology, and transportation modes (road, sea, air). Proficient in logistics software and tools (e.g., TMS, ERP systems). Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Familiarity with customs documentation and international shipping processes (a plus). Skills and Competencies:
Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong interpersonal communication and negotiation abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, & Teams) and logistics software. Knowledge of regulatory and safety standards in the transportation and logistics industry.
