Arcfield has an amazing opportunity in support of an Enterprise Space Communications Architecture mission and is seeking System Engineers who will oversee and support engineering lifecycles and the acquisition of space and ground communications capabilities. Arcfield has over 40 years supporting this mission critical program, along with a proven track record of providing outstanding customer support with consistent high award fees. This well-established, tenured team of SETA is looking to expand their expertise and is seeking a candidate who will play a pivotal role in the planning and acquisition of space and ground-based systems, ensuring successful development efforts and delivery of cutting-edge solutions. Responsibilities: Provide technical and programmatic advisory services during program execution of next generation communication architectures. Track technical progress, identify risks, and assess technical solutions in collaboration with integrated product teams. Provide Systems Engineering Support for the design and delivery of critical components. Support development of acquisition artifacts such as statements of work (SOW), Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRL), and proposal evaluation criteria. Coordinate across Program Offices to collaborate on system requirements and transition prototype hardware to baseline programs. Daily interaction with customer and supporting contractors to support full life cycle development of critical space and ground systems.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
Must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph. Bachelor's (or equivalent) in engineering related field with 12 to 15 years of experience or 10 to 13 years of experience with master's in engineering related field or 8 to 10 years of experience with Ph.D. in engineering related field. Experience with Systems Engineering and Technical Advisory (SETA) support. Experience in Space Communication or related field. Strong technical background with expertise in evaluating and integrating complex systems solutions. Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to produce clear, logical, and concise products. Excellent organization and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface effectively with government customers. Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products for planning and communication. Desired Skills:
Proficiency in acquisition and contracting strategies, plans, and associated documents for traditional competitive and alternate acquisition approaches. Experience with collaboration tools such as SharePoint and Confluence. Technical background in space communications technology. Understanding of networking protocols and function. Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)/Digital Engineering.
