The Mechanical Engineering department of #CAES has a career growth opportunity for an Junior level Mechanical Engineer at our sprawling suburban Philadelphia location (Lansdale, PA). Our Design Engineering team consists of 150+ design engineers across 5 sites throughout the Eastern United States. We are growing quickly and we would like you to be a part of that growth. This role will perform professional technical work of various complexity that requires in-depth knowledge and application of mechanical engineering principles, theories, concepts, practices and techniques used to solve specified problems within a defined field of technology. Responsibilities

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Support Product Design and Development. Contribute to the design, development and selection of hardware components utilizing mechanical engineering principles, theories, and techniques. Assigned duties may include design and development of specific packaging modules, mechanisms, components, or subsystems to meet design requirements. Provide technical direction to design support personnel. Perform Mechanical Analyses. Maintain up-to-date working knowledge of company standard analysis tools. Assure adequate analysis to achieve performance objectives. Perform static, dynamic, and heat transfer analyses of mechanical structures. Analyze data and document results. Coordinate Validation of Design. Coordinate the fabrication and environmental testing of design hardware. Design and procure prototype hardware. Coordinate the environmental testing of hardware including: vibration, shock, thermal, fatigue, and others as required. Review and document test results. Assist in product transition to Production as required. Prepare Documentation. Generate, review, and approve the technical content of drawings, engineering specifications, reports, and other documentation associated with the mechanical design. Prepare design review packages and present for internal review. Support Continuous Improvement. Ensure compliance with CAES Quality System and the Mechanical Design Process. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of developments in Mechanical Engineering disciplines. Recommend improvements that produce cost effective and producible designs. Other Duties. Make independent technical decisions on work consistent with objectives. Assignments may include research and development of new techniques and materials as a result of independent study. Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering Combined one (1) Year of experience in Mechanical Engineering Co-ops, Internships or Classroom. One (1) year of experience using 3D modeling software (Creo, Solidworks, etc) and finite element analysis applications (ANSYS, etc.). This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a "US Person" under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license). Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 2+ Years of Experience in Mechanical Engineering 3+ Years of Experience using 3D modeling software (Creo, Solidworks, etc) and finite element analysis applications (ANSYS, etc.). nowledge of thermal dynamics and packaging. Strong oral and written communication skills to interface with key internal and external customers Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite Background in the defense industry Active DOD Security Clearance

Salary Range: Mechanical Engineer (level I): $71,316.00 - $88,096.00 annually, and Mechanical Engineer (level II): $81,300.00 - $100,430.00 annually. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
