Position Overview:
As a Mechanical Engineer with injection molding experience, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and optimization of injection-molded components. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product performance, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities: Design and develop injection-molded parts and assemblies using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD). Conduct feasibility studies and design analyses to determine product manufacturability and performance. Create and interpret engineering drawings with GD&T specifications to ensure precise manufacturing and assembly. Collaborate with the manufacturing team to optimize injection molding processes and troubleshoot production issues. Perform material selection and validation for injection-molded components. Develop and execute testing protocols to ensure product quality and compliance with industry standards. Conduct and oversee First Article Inspections to verify that prototypes and initial production runs meet design specifications and quality standards. Prepare technical documentation, including specifications, reports, and process instructions. Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in injection molding and mechanical engineering. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, specifically with injection molding processes. Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.) and simulation tools. Strong understanding of materials used in injection molding and their properties. Strong knowledge of industry standards (ASME Y14.5) and best practices in GD&T. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and communicate technical concepts clearly. Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations is a plus. What We Offer:
