Role description:
Arcadis is currently seeking a highly motivated Protection and Control Engineer to join the Power Delivery team in Sandy Hook or Middletown, CT.

This is a technical position within the Power Delivery unit of Arcadis. The position consisting in the coordination of the power delivery substation electrical engineering team and performing hands engineering, detail design and studies for utility clients in North America. The incumbent will work closely and mentored by Sr. and/or Lead substation electrical engineer within the Power Delivery group.
Role accountabilities:
Support developing and delivering relay and protection & control package for transmission and distribution substation projects from 12kV to 500kV with quality, schedule, and safe design in mind. Work under direct mentorship of Sr. and/or Lead engineer and design preparing protection relay and control package including but not limited to - Protective Single Lines, Schemes, Substation Three Lines, DC Schematics, Relay & Control Panel Layouts, Control and Panel Wiring Diagram, Cable Raceway Schedule, SCADA and Communication Diagrams Contribute preparing and developing Engineering Calculations, Equipment Specification, BOM, Bid evaluation and proposal support Maintaining close coordination and help other relevant Arcadis Business Units and Practices for cross selling and cross staffing opportunities. Qualifications & Experience:
Required Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Minimum of 3 year of electrical engineering and design experience Proficient in AutoCAD or MicroStation; Able to execute and delivery projects under supervision of Sr. and/or Lead engineer Knowledge of applicable industry standards including the National Electric Code (NEC), National Electric Safety Code (NESC), and IEEE. Preferred Qualifications
US electrical utility experience
