Position Description:
Be able to analyze the validity of automotive supplier part pricing and tooling uplift requests in a service environment for change in mfg. process, volume impact, and inflation. Calculate a should cost. Be able to explain cost changes to internal and external stake holders that have competing agendas
Skills: Understand various manufacturing process and how the switch from high volume to low volume impacts cost Stamping, Machining, Injection molding, Casting, Wire Harness , Asm Calculate, analyze, and adjust estimates Efficiency, floorspace, and inflation impact labor and burden rates Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions Strong communication skills (both verbal and written, speaking and listening) Operate in a grey space environment with minimal direction and multiple projects The position deals with internal combustion engines and across all commodities. In the next 5 years a transition to BEV's will require an understanding of Motors, electronics, batteries Software
Excel, PowerPoint, CAD/Read blueprints, Estimating Software (FACTON), Company purchasing systems (SAP) Qualifications 5 years of experience in estimating with mfg. experience Bachelor of Science (Engineering, Technology, or Finance related fields) Some travel required
