We're a small team of experts building next-generation server-side infrastructure to support Tesla's growing fleet of products. We're currently pushing the boundaries of innovation and developing new business lines. We're looking for a hands-on leader to join us as a Technical Lead and help build the technology stack that will power Tesla's future.
Join us and you will work alongside world-class software and data engineers on some of the newest and most challenging IoT and navigation services in the world today. The platform you help build will play a key role in the development of robotaxi vehicles, enabling them to navigate the world autonomously.
As a Technical Lead in the Vehicle Software group, you will be responsible for advancing the roadmap and execution of core systems in our vehicle portfolio, leading engineers and contributing yourself technically, as well as maintaining a bar of technical excellence throughout the organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to help us build and improve a platform that help us build will scale novel functionality to millions of Tesla devices and users. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a large impact on the Tesla product roadmap and mission.
Responsibilities
Design and build scalable, high-availability mission-critical systems and APIs Work closely with cross-functional teams, in Product, SRE, and Infrastructure to drive roadmaps to completion Influence architectural decisions with focus on security, scalability, and high-performance Solve complex problems using distributed, asynchronous messaging Requirements
7+ years of building SaaS applications, preferably in a service-oriented architecture Exceptional leadership ability and ability to collaborate and communicate complex technical concepts to a wide audience Direct technical contributions in your current role, both in code and design Extensive background in web services and distributed systems development Experience leading engineering teams, with a history of outstanding accomplishments from architecture definition to product delivery Expertise in modern web developments frameworks, preferably Golang Demonstrated success with scalable web applications or messaging systems Experience with web security Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering or proof of exceptional skills in related fields with practical software engineering experience Prior experience with Navigation and Mapping system is a plus Compensation and Benefits Benefits

$168,000 - $300,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
