JK Executive Strategies is proud to partner with a leading provider of comprehensive packaging solutions in search of a Territory Sales Manager to join its team!
This person will be responsible for the territory surrounding Chino, CA focusing on custom packaging solutions for food processors and industrial, automotive and clothing manufacturers. This role involves engaging with end users to tailor packaging solutions to their specific needs. This is an outside sales role that requires a competitive self-starter mentality, a track record of success in packaging sales, and the ability to generate and qualify leads quickly.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to expand market share within the assigned territory, focusing on custom packaging solutions for food and industrial applications. Generate and qualify leads to identify promising business opportunities. Identify key decision-makers and present tailored packaging solutions. Proactively engage with prospects to understand their packaging needs. Build and maintain long-term relationships by offering customized solutions. Drive revenue growth by sourcing and closing deals. Focus on achieving sales targets and generating new business opportunities. Work with the corporate marketing team to utilize existing marketing materials and share thoughts on additional marketing support needed. Ensure consistency with the company's branding and messaging. Regularly assess client satisfaction and identify additional sales opportunities. Participate in weekly sales meetings and provide updates on sales activities and market conditions. Collaborate with the sales team to refine sales strategies. Explore opportunities for cross-selling and expanding market reach. Work diligently to meet and/or exceed sales targets.
Requirements
Proven track record in sales, preferably within the packaging or food industry, with a strong understanding of custom packaging solutions. Self-motivated, competitive, and results-driven, with the ability to work semi-autonomously in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to listen to client needs and present solutions effectively. Detail-oriented and process-driven, with strong organizational skills to manage a large sales territory. Experience with CRM systems (HubSpot preferred) and a data-driven approach to managing sales activities. Ability to think creatively about expanding sales efforts, including exploring partnerships with brokers and distributors.
Salary Range
$120k base + Variable Compensation (to 140K, uncapped)
