The Assistant General Manager (AGM) will support the General Manager in the operations-focused oversight of The Bank at Amador, a high-end private club, bar, and restaurant. This role prioritizes cost control, revenue optimization, and providing the best possible guest experience. The AGM will manage multiple departments, ensuring efficiency across operations, while focusing on key financial metrics such as COGs (Cost of Goods Sold) and revenue generation. The role emphasizes leadership, team development, and maintaining the clubs premier service standards. This is not an office management role but an operations-driven position that requires hands-on leadership.Key Responsibilities:Operational Management:Lead daily bar and restaurant operations, focusing on optimal guest experience while ensuring the efficient flow of service.Maintain a strong focus on COGs and revenue, working closely with the General Manager and Beverage Director to monitor financial performance and make data-driven adjustments.Collaborate with the Chef and Beverage Director to manage inventory effectively and ensure accurate monthly inventory completion.Assist in FOH scheduling to balance optimal coverage with labor budget goals, leveraging experience in staff management.Ensure that all operational aspects, including ambiance, cleanliness, and guest flow, contribute to a memorable guest experience.Staff Leadership & Recruitment:Actively participate in recruiting, training, and mentoring staff, ensuring that team members deliver exceptional service.Provide leadership and accountability to all FOH staff, including bartenders, servers, and event team members.Lead pre-shift meetings to reinforce service standards and update the team on daily priorities, performance targets, and any upcoming events.Foster a culture of teamwork, diversity, and inclusivity, promoting open communication and collaboration among all departments.Guest Services & Event Management:Manage guest feedback across multiple platforms, resolving service issues with a proactive and guest-centered approach.Oversee coordination of large member reservations and private events, ensuring high levels of service consistency across all guest touchpoints.Serve as a liaison between the dining room and private event service teams to guarantee smooth service execution during peak times.Financial & Inventory Management:Monitor COGs, labor costs, and overall revenue performance, driving profitability while maintaining service excellence.Assist with beverage ordering, vendor relations, and menu updates to ensure profitability and quality.Manage inventory control to minimize waste and optimize stock levels across both food and beverage departments.Collaborate with the General Manager to develop financial strategies that increase revenue, enhance guest experience, and control costs.Compliance & Club Standards:Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and labor regulations, including ABC license requirements.Keep operational systems (Toast, PeopleVine, TripleSeat, Slack) updated and compliant with regulatory standards and best practices.Communication & Coordination:Serve as the General Managers representative for department updates and communications, ensuring clear and consistent communication between teams.Attend weekly leadership meetings to support cross-department collaboration and alignment on club objectives and operations.Work with Property Maintenance and other departments to ensure the timely resolution of facility and maintenance issues.Qualifications:Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in restaurant or bar management, preferably in a high-volume, high-end setting.Proven success in managing COGs, revenue, and key financial metrics in a hospitality environment.Experience in leading high-performing teams with a focus on service excellence and guest satisfaction.Hands-on knowledge of Toast POS systems (preferred) and strong experience with staff scheduling.Expertise in staff development, recruitment, and training, with a focus on creating a cohesive and efficient team.Flexibility to work the following shifts -
