Our client seeks an enthusiastic and results-driven Packaging Sales Representative to join their growing team in the Chicagoland metropolitan area. In this role, you will be responsible for developing new business and managing existing accounts within the packaging sector. The ideal candidate will possess a strong sales background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for providing exceptional customer service.
The Outside Sales Representative to develop and execute the sales strategy for selling our client's products and services within a designated region or industry. The successful sales representative will focus on new business development, maintaining customer relationships, providing specific solutions, and meeting sales targets. This position requires a competitive and motivated spirit with the drive to solve problems.
Job Responsibilities
Promote products and value-added services to meet individual and company goals within your territory.
Develop a customer contact plan to communicate product launches and engage potential customers.
Identify customer needs and present appropriate solutions offered by the organization.
Create and deliver tailored presentations on Veritiv solutions that support customer growth.
Use CRM software to schedule follow-ups and record customer information.
Network and represent the organization at industry events to enhance the brand.
Address customer inquiries and complaints, seeking timely resolutions.
Collaborate with other sales representatives to expand product knowledge and promote solutions.
Utilize sales technology to meet strategic account planning and maximize growth potential.
Engage in training programs to improve sales skills and generate profitable growth.
Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications
Knowledge and experience in packaging preferred.
Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing work environments.
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
Effective presentation skills for internal and external partners.
Persuasion, negotiation, and sales skills are essential.
Strong problem-solving abilities and teamwork skills.
Up to 25% travel may be required.
Experience in territory sales or account management preferred.
Familiarity with Salesforce.com or other CRM systems is a plus.
