Job Summary
- Architects are responsible for the fourth level management of Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop, Ivanti User Workspace Manager, Windows Server, Incident tickets, SCOM (System Center Operations Manager) alerts, Queue Monitoring and Infra alerts.
- Architect should be able to Perform and manage routine maintenance tasks for the Citrix services in accordance with Citrix best practice.
- Responsible for all aspects of Citrix design, performance-monitoring, tuning, scripting, new build, patching, hot fixes, lifecycle upgrades and troubleshooting complex and large Citrix server farms and maintenance of all Citrix production.
- Serve as an Architect for various technical aspects of Citrix, including XenApp, Xendesktop, Citrix Provisioning Services, Machine Creation Service, Citrix Virtual Applications, Citrix Virtual Desktops, Citrix Profile Management, Windows Roaming Profiles, Workspace Environment Management, Citrix Policies, NetScaler Gateway/Load Balancing/GSLB, Storefront, Multi-site aggregations, vSphere.
- Work side-by-side with the rest of the Citrix team as needed to perform routine maintenance of the Citrix system, including PVS maintenance scheduling, end-user support, creation of gold images for MCS/PVS vDisks, working with Advanced Group Policy Management, and setup/configuration and debugging of the various components of the Citrix farm
- Participate in documenting, communicating, and enforcing policies for securing and standardizing systems, infrastructure, and software as necessary.
- Monitor, correct, and report observed infractions of security policies and procedures
- Should be excellent in user experience monitoring, desktop performance validation and virtual desktop diagnostics solution using Stratusphere and SCOM.
- Automate recurring tasks using PowerShell.
- Experience with, and strong understanding of, application publishing, application streaming (App-V), and application containerization (MSIX).
- Extensive experience with Nutanix and VMware
- Responsible for providing innovation roadmaps, maintenance scheduling, life cycle management, and capacity management for the Citrix/Citrix Cloud environments and related dependent technologies.
- Responsible for managing the day-to-day administration, planning, and problem-solving for the Citrix XenApp environment on a 24x7 basis.
- Excellent understanding on CFS/ITIL Process.
- Work on continual Services improvement plan, including through weekly global Citrix meetings with customer and HCL management.
- Complete assigned ad-hoc projects and tasks.
- Document processes, procedures, and instructions for End Users and IT personnel.
- Lead product evaluations and proof of concepts for new technologies.
- Responsible for ensuring that the Services meet requirements (including related to VDI management, infrastructure, printing, SSO, anti-virus, app deployment, and profile management), and implementing the Solution successfully.
- Responsible for training and cross-skilling Service Provider Personnel to provide efficient and effective Services.
- Coordinate with Service Provider Personnel for day-to-day activities and attend weekly Service Provider meetings related to Service Level adherence, quality review, project status, and overall major activities completed during the week.
- Participate in all DR Tests.
- Manage the ticketing system and queue.
- Review and monitor the performance of servers.
- Experience with, and strong understanding of, application publishing, application streaming (App-V), and application containerization (MSIX).
- Strong skill set in ticket audits, Report Automations, Vulnerability and compliance management, End user computing, people management, Business Continuity Plan / Disaster recovery, Project Management, Data Analysis, Project Delivery, Process Improvements, Requirement Planning and Analysis, Business Analysis, Client Interaction, Quality Assurance and Operations Issues Management for clients with operations around the Globe.
- Transition & Transformation/Ramp-up/Ramp-Down new or old projects and High light/Low Light & SPI and Value creation along with documentation (HDL & LLD) & Signoff.
- Involved in Migrating the Servers between two data centers. Including On-premises and Citrix cloud.
- Highly agile information technology leader with cross-functional experience and an understanding of IT Applications and IT Operations. Proven track record of using technology and modern methodologies to create new and innovative capabilities across any organization. - Integrate the Citrix XenDesktop and XenApp with ServiceNow to action VMs/application requests, assignments, changes, deletions.
- Ticket-Based Automation
- Create and update Golden Images via an automated workflow.
- Takes Golden Image to install the VM, optimizes the VM for VDI, hardens the VM, and silently install the software and packages.
- Certified in Citrix CCA-V, CCP-V, or equivalent.
- Certified in ITIL, MCP, or equivalent.

- Proven experience within a distributed environment of at least 25000 VDI, 2000 Citrix servers.
- Excellent process oriented skills with regards to DAAS and troubleshooting within an enterprise environment
- Understanding of ITIL / IT service Management
- Experience in Team Lead with excellent communication skills (both written as well as verbal)
- Ready to work in shifts, time 24 / 7 / Rotational shift.
- Minimum 15+ Years of relevant experience in providing innovation roadmaps, maintenance scheduling, life cycle management, and capacity management for the Citrix/Citrix Cloud/NetScaler environments and related dependent technologies.
