As an IT Manager, you are an expert in your field and thrive in a leadership role but are a lifelong learner. You have a masterful knowledge of Apple OS and applying it to cybersecurity frameworks. The Fun Stuff: ?
Manage and coordinate all IT-related matters including data, wireless communications, mobile technology, telephony, security, and computer hardware and software.
Build out a helpdesk program that entails a ticketing system, knowledgebase and operations center.
Troubleshoot and solve problems related to hardware, software, and network problems with cybersecurity compliance in mind (specifically CMMC).
Provide direct support to users across the organization including setting up hardware or software, diagnosing connectivity or data access problems, answering questions about hardware or software, and helping users access shared drives and devices.
Coordinate and supervise IT platforms, systems, and vendors.
Work with 3rd parties as required/dictated for compliance requirements.
Collaborate, direct, and manage vendor relationships including vendor security reviews, negotiations, migration planning, and more.
Monitor network utilization and performance; implement procedures for network.
Create and implement a risk management program that includes performing risk assessments, vulnerability management, and incident response.
Proactively identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions efficiently.
Provide friendly and empathetic technical support to all employees backed by a detailed approach to documentation.
Design, plan and execute training on the use of systems and networks.
Install and configure hardware equipment and software programs.
Oversee, track and measure system and network performance.
Perform troubleshooting and execute needed repairs.
Execute various maintenance activities when needed.
Perform all IT-related onboarding, offboarding and transitioning.
Create a technology refresh process and budget. Forecast and plan for technology needs.
Monitor advances in technology and software and bring ideas and recommendations to company leadership.
Manage all IT inventory in a cloud repository.
Introduce and promote the use of automation and AI in a responsible manner.

The Necessities: ?
You have a minimum of a bachelors degree in a technical discipline, such as computer science, information technology, or computer engineering, or equivalent work experience.
You have advanced knowledge of networking, cybersecurity, endpoint management (especially for Apple), and cloud systems.
You are an expert at supporting macOS and Windows, (JAMF/Intune), as well as 365 and cloud systems such as Box.com, among others.
You are proficient in managing a GRC tool and management of cybersecurity programs including (SOC, SEIM, SysLog, etc)
You have a proven track record of managing and taking organizations through cybersecurity readiness to audit for NIST 800-53, CMMC or any other related audit-based framework such as SOC2 and ISO27001.
You take a proactive approach to problem-solving.
You have a proven track record of creating and writing high-quality documentation, policies, procedures, and playbooks to support the needs of the organization.
You are detailed-oriented, organized and have a strong work ethic.
You have experience in building, maintaining and controlling an information technology budget.
You have exceptional organizational and leadership skills.
You love helping others!
The Place to Be: ?
Work location is mostly remote, however ability to commute to our headquarters in Columbia, Maryland and the surrounding area is required.
The Salary:
Salary range provided during the selection process. Exact pay will be determined based on individual factors that may include years of experience, contract requirements, billable vs. non-billable, position urgency/demand, and location/telework options.
