LMD - a change agency, is a woman-owned small business seeking an experienced IT Specialist to join our fast-paced, award-winning, full-service marketing & communications team. The successful candidate will manage and enhance our technology infrastructure, ensuring seamless operation across our remote and in-office teams. This role requires expertise in both the PC and Mac environments, as well as a hands-on approach to managing daily IT needs, including onboarding and offboarding, network maintenance, inventory management, system security, and end-user support. The ideal candidate is proactive, experienced, and an independent thinker who can lead and manage IT initiatives, manage a Google Workspace environment, and support our team through the CMMC certification process.

Job Summary Key Responsibilities: IT Operations & Maintenance

Oversee the daily IT operations, including troubleshooting, system maintenance, and user support for both PC and Mac users. Manage software licensing, system updates, asset management, and security to ensure secure operations and data integrity. Implement a robust backup strategy and disaster recovery planning to ensure business continuity. Develop and maintain an IT support plan and documentation, including status reports and IT support guides.

Onboarding & Offboarding

Facilitate IT onboarding for new hires, including the setup and configuration of workstations, software, and security permissions. Manage offboarding processes, ensuring secure data retrieval and access removal for departing team members.

Ticketing System Setup & Management

Design, implement, and maintain an efficient IT ticketing system to streamline support requests and resolutions

Google Workspace Management

Administer, support, and optimize the Google Workspace environment, including Gmail, Google Drive, Google Meet, and other collaborative tools. Develop and enforce best practices for secure and efficient use of Google Workspace across the organization. Stay updated on new Google Workspace features, testing and implementing them as appropriate for the organization.

CMMC Certification Support

Collaborate with the compliance team on CMMC (Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification) processes and help ensure technical alignment with cybersecurity requirements. Assist in developing, establishing, and enforcing security standards required for CMMC compliance, including regular audits and gap analysis.

Audio/Visual Support

Plan and implement Audio/Visual technology solutions for the Maryland office. Provide A/V support for in-person meetings, ensuring the seamless integration of tech in hybrid work environments.

Independent Problem-Solving & Decision-Making

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently and proactively identify areas for infrastructure improvement. Implement technical solutions for improved system performance, security, and user satisfaction.

Qualifications: Experience:

Proven experience as an IT Specialist or in a similar role, focusing on supporting remote teams and managing hybrid IT environments. Minimum of 5 years

of demonstrated experience Taking initiative and working collaboratively on a team is a must. Must currently hold or be able to obtain government clearance. Technical Expertise:

Proficiency in both PC and Mac systems, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and user support. Strong understanding and experience in managing Google Workspace, including security and admin functions. Familiarity with cybersecurity standards, especially CMMC, and the ability to implement and enforce necessary controls. Systems & Tools:

Experience with ticketing systems. Strong working knowledge of Slack, 1Password, Asana, or other ticketing solutions such as Jira, etc. Experience managing network infrastructure, cloud solutions, and backup strategies. Problem-Solving & Independence:

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Broad software capabilities across common business applications such as Microsoft Office, Gmail, Google Drive, Dropbox, Apple Mail, Zoom, etc. Ability to make independent decisions and implement solutions proactively​​​​​​​ Communication & Documentation:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills to serve as the IT ambassador for the company. Ability to develop clear and concise IT guides and documentation. Preferred Skills: Knowledge of network and cybersecurity principles, including firewalls, VPNs, encryption, and other security technologies. Experience working in a remote-first environment. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent multi-tasking skills and capacity to focus on multiple issues at once. Job Location(s): This position is a

hybrid

position that may require the occasional in-office client meeting. Must reside in the DMV area to attend in-person meetings and manage end-user hardware and the physical network in the Columbia, Maryland office.

Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000
