SCOPE OF POSITION: The Employee Engagement Supervisor leads and supports the Long Term Care (LTC) Services Employee Engagement and Culture programs and objectives at the direction of the Senior Director of Long Term Care Services. The Employee Engagement Supervisor serves as the liaison for employees, department heads, and contracted staff regarding the Employee Engagement and Culture programs and further, fosters a positive company culture that celebrates teamwork and maximizes the unique skills of employees. The Employee Engagement Supervisor develops and implements employee engagement strategies that promote a positive workplace culture to improve overall employee satisfaction and retention that aligns the culture of LTC while ensuring these strategies and programs are consistent with the facility's policies/goals/objectives. The Employee Engagement Supervisor executes this through collaborating with the Senior Director of LTC Services to identify and implement strategies that enhance employee morale, strengthen workplace relationships, and drive improvements in productivity and retention. This position offers mentoring and coaching opportunities to staff, cultivates and maintains excellent working relationships with LTC team members, engages with employees/leaders to help foster and nurture a supportive/productive/positive work environment, conducts rounds on resident care areas to promote effective communications with staff throughout the community, checks in with LTC staff daily to identify areas of concerns and develops actions plans based on employee feedback, and facilitates conflict resolution between employees across all departments under the LTC services umbrella. This position also collaborates with the County Recruiter on hiring initiatives for LTC Nursing, serves as the liaison to the Human Resources Department in matters of employee performance/attendance/policy violation concerns, works to develop a strategic plan to minimize utilization of contracted staff, takes an active role in the Quality Improvement programs for the facility, reviews attendance logs to engage with employees on potential areas of concern, prioritizes conflicting needs, and overall, holds a continuum commitment to demonstrate and uphold the values of Honesty, Excellence, Accountability, Respect, and Teamwork. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in a related field required; and Two (2) to five (5) years of related experience; or A combination of education and experience will be considered. Two (2) to five (5) years' experience with leading initiatives for employee engagement and culture.
