Position Purpose

The Social Media Strategist at Granite Credit Union will lead the strategy and execution for digital engagement, expanding brand visibility and growing member connections across social media and other online platforms. This role is essential in promoting Granite Credit Union's digital products and services, educating members, highlighting community involvement, and building engagement through creative, data-driven campaigns. With a focus on innovation and strategic alignment, the Social Media Strategist will support Granite's broader marketing objectives, ensuring cohesive and impactful member outreach that strengthens the credit union's digital presence.

Essential Duties, Skills & Abilities

Content Development & Platform Management Website & Intranet Updates:

Maintain the external website and internal intranet current with disclosures, product changes, FAQs, and financial resources to ensure members have the latest information. Social Media Strategy & Engagement:

Develop the bilingual social media strategy that drives engagement across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.). Respond to member inquiries to foster strong relationships and engagement. Video & Multimedia Production:

Oversee end-to-end video creation, including scripting, shooting, editing, and publishing for promotions, events, and member stories. Integrated Marketing & Campaigns

Campaign Strategy & Execution:

Plan and execute campaigns that promote eCommerce and electronic services (online banking, mobile apps, eStatements, etc.), aligning with Granite's annual marketing strategy. Focus on brand visibility, product awareness, and increasing usage of digital services. Content Creation & Distribution:

Produce educational and promotional content-such as digital ads, brochures, newsletters, and multimedia materials-that maintains Granite's brand consistency and enhances member experience. Content Creation & Member Education:

Craft engaging content across platforms to educate members about Granite's service offerings and digital tools, promoting products that align with the overall marketing strategy Email & Online Marketing:

Manage email campaigns and digital ads on identified websites. Track and optimize engagement to increase online presence and interaction. Analytics & Performance Tracking

Channel Performance:

Use tools like Google Analytics to monitor website and social channel performance, identifying trends and refining strategies based on data insights. User Behavior Analysis:

Track digital engagement metrics (site visits, click-throughs, email opens) to assess and improve campaign effectiveness and audience targeting. SEO & Optimization:

Support SEO efforts to increase online visibility and identify opportunities to enhance member engagement across digital platforms. Collaboration & Strategic Planning

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Work closely with internal teams to align campaigns with product launches, community outreach, and promotions. Maintain a web marketing calendar to synchronize campaigns across digital channels. Brand Consistency:

Ensure all digital content aligns with Granite Credit Union's voice, style, and standards, reinforcing a cohesive brand experience for members. Market Research & Innovation:

Stay current on industry trends, presenting new strategies to boost member engagement and digital reach. Experience & Education

2-3 years of experience in social media, content creation, or digital marketing. Bachelor's degree in social media implementation, brand management, digital strategy, marketing, communications, business, or related field preferred. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred.
