We are looking for a meticulous and proactive Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join our team. As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality, usability, and functionality. Youll play a key role in the development lifecycle by designing and executing tests, identifying issues, and working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing.
Collaborate with developers and business analyst to understand product requirements and define testing needs.
Identify, document, and track software defects, working with development team to ensure resolution.
Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts for UI, API, and integration testing to increase efficiency.
Continuously analyze test results, report bugs, and track quality assurance metrics.
Engage in root cause analysis and actively contribute to process improvements.
Ensure that the final product of every release satisfies the defined requirements and meets end-user expectations.
Work with cross-functional teams to achieve product goals, ensure user satisfaction, and meet release deadlines.
Help establish best practices for optimizing quality control and take the initiative to identify areas to improve internal processes related to product release management and bug fixes.
Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
2+ years of experience in software quality assurance or related roles.
Proficiency in writing test cases and understanding various testing methodologies.
Strong knowledge of QA automation and testing tools (e.g., Playwright, Selenium, Cypress)
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Azure DevOps or Jenkins.
Understanding of RESTful APIs and API testing tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to collaborate effectively with developers and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in agile development environments.
Knowledge of SQL or other database query languages.
Exposure to cloud environments like AWS or Azure.
Familiarity with Microsoft technologies including Azure, C# / .NET tech stack, .NET Framework, .NET Core, ASP.NET Core, Microsoft SQL Server; and MVC/ WEB API.
Experience with scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python).
Experience working in the Property/Casualty Insurance industry
