The Opportunity The Senior Business Development Manager is responsible for meeting agreed individual sales budgets, targets & KPI’s by attracting new customers and revenue to Cleanaway in alignment with our sales strategy. The Senior BDM must execute one pillar of Cleanaway sales strategy, ‘Gain’ by achieving profitable revenue & margin growth in line with Delegated Levels of Authority (DLA’s), by developing and executing Sales Pipeline & winning new business through offering bespoke solutions to customers with complex, technical and specific needs. Proactively manage prospect & customer relationships effectively through life of project and or contract to meet customer expectations and maximise share of wallet/market share. Build & execute sales pipeline of new prospects as per set targets including actively supporting bids and tenders. Maintain Industry & Sector business plans in line with structural & cyclical landscape and or changes in market, inclusive of developing key account plans. Ensure all customer core information e.g. contacts, sales activities, contracts and the like, are stored and maintained in our SalesForce CRM. Network internally across this matrix style business to optimize the strategic footprint and vertical offering to market. Creating high quality proposals/presentations for formal presentations – potential/existing clients. Keep abreast of competitor activity and maintain up to date data base of relevant information in support of developing strategic planning activities. About You Our ideal candidate will have commercial/industrial experience in a business development role, with a proven track record in securing business by way of formal tenders and bids to convert complex and/or technical prospects into profitable new business. Advanced interpersonal and sales skills at multiple levels to maximise sales outcomes. Experience in large, matrix-style businesses in Waste or allied industries e.g Oil & Gas, Mining, Construction. Proven commercial acumen, including well-developed “active listening” skills and the ability to ask the right questions to provide the solution. Ability to manage time & multiple stakeholders (internal/external) effectively to meet deadlines. Experience to present self as organized and self-motivated, with excellent presentation & negotiation skills and strong written, verbal & numeracy skills.
