This role involves collaborating with team members to implement upgrades, manage backups, ensure system performance, and security compliance.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: General Experience:
A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a Tier 2 Technology Support role or Systems Administration related role. Experience supporting information technology and end users in an enterprise environment. Valid Driver's License & Evidence of Insurability. Certifications (Preferred but not required):
CompTIA A+, Network+, and Security+ Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
Substitutions Allowed:
College training in computer science, information systems, or a closely related field may be substituted for the General Experience on the basis of fifteen (15) semester hours equaling one half (1/2) year of experience to a maximum of two (2) years for an Associate's Degree.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following identifies the primary and essential functions of the position and is not intended to be an exhaustive listing of all duties;
Install and configure hardware and software systems to meet organizational needs. Regularly monitor system performance and perform necessary maintenance to ensure optimal functionality. Identify and resolve hardware and software issues quickly to minimize downtime. Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and changes. Implement and monitor security measures to protect systems and data from unauthorized access or breaches. Plan and execute system upgrades and patches to ensure systems are up-to-date and secure. Work with other IT staff and departments to support projects and improve overall system efficiency. Ensure systems comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Liaise with vendors for hardware and software service contracts Liaise with vendors to evaluate new technologies Respond to incidents for support. Provide a variety of support services to Information Technology and Education Tech Departments. Assist in department projects and implementations. Identify potential issues, needs, and/or gaps in current designs and implementations and provide recommendations using research, experience, and expertise. Maintain an up-to-date understanding of industry best practices. Work with the Manager of Computing Devices, Network Systems, and Cyber Security to develop processes and procedures. Use project management templates and/or best practices to manage projects Perform related work as required or assigned. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: The following identifies the knowledge, skills, and abilities that are essentials for the Data Integration Specialist (this is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties).
Proficiency in end user operating systems (Windows and macOS) Proficiency in Windows Server (e.g., Windows Server 2016/2019/2022) Proficiency in Microsoft Active Directory (AD) and Microsoft Entra ID Knowledge of MDM systems, such as Jamf Pro, Intune, and Google Workspace Proficiency with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, subnetting, and other networking protocols Strong understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) including Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell and Bash, for system automation and task scheduling Ability to analyze system performance and troubleshoot issues related to CPU, memory, disk I/O, and network performance Ability to manage IT projects, including upgrades, migrations, and new system deployments. Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams Ability to stay current with emerging technologies Advanced technical problem-solving skills Meticulous attention to detail Ability to effectively communicate technical detail in a non-technical manner Ability to work with a variety of stakeholders and determine optimal solutions based on user requirements, supportability, and budget Ability to prepare and maintain technical documentation and reports Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds
