General Job Function: ThisProject Engineerposition will be supporting a Project Manager in various aspects of project coordination and execution during the project lifecycle for the AP1000 Bulgaria Project. Once experience and qualification are achieved, may be assigned portions of a project under supervision of a Project Manager. All project management is performed in accordance with the established Westinghouse policies, procedures, systems, and requirements. Your Day to Day Utilize interpersonal skills to develop positive relationships with team and stakeholders to effectively complete project assignments. Support Project Manager (PM) in the project planning process including drafting and revising project assets (e.g., project plan, lessons learned report) and client deliverable documentation. Establish and maintain project SharePoint libraries and coordinate/process requests for project SharePoint access. Support PM by coordinating/scheduling internal / external project meetings. Including meeting logistics, collect meeting agenda, meeting presentation, record meeting minutes, track action items. Track and disposition project information to support overall project success: Perform project status planning and tracking by working closely with functional team leads to gather task status input; track requirements completion and review/provide weekly schedule updates. Develop material for project status reporting, examples include: monthly progress reports and the project close out report. Assist Project Manager in establishing and maintaining visual display and tracking systems. Coordinate project communications with the project manager. Help maintain project databases, systems and procedures to ensure efficient handling, transmission, and tracking of project correspondence, required responses, expedite document and letter workflows, and documentation between project team members. Support project manager to properly close project by archiving work in financial, scheduling, and document management. Identify and communicate opportunities for improvement, lessons, and risk avoidance for future work. Promote continuous improvement to enhance completion of assigned tasks: Identify, assess, and implement improvement opportunities that will add value with approval from Project Manager. Who You Are: Bachelor's degree in applicable discipline; such as: Project Management, Engineering, Business, Construction Management or related technical discipline. 0-4 years of project management related experience or experience in a technical role in nuclear or construction industry. Any project management or project controls related certifications (Scheduling, estimating, earned value, risk, etc.) or familiarity with the Project Management Institute's Project Management Body of Knowledge will be viewed as a plus. Required Skills/Competencies: Communication Planning and Organization Teamwork Driving for Results Basic interpersonal skills such as effective verbal and written communications, ability to interact well with team members, ability to develop relationships with internal stakeholders, ability to make decisions and carry out multiple tasks as assigned with guidance from supervisory project managers and mentors. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office tools. Knowledge and skill with project scheduling (Primavera or Microsoft Project) a plus. Ability or understanding of the transformation of data to information for visual reports; database concepts in order to manage data within systems. High-quality presentation kills a plus Will be expected to complete assigned training in Westinghouse Systems, Procedures, and Policies applicable to assignments Why Westinghouse?
