Job Title: CT Technologist Job Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (Friday–Sunday: Friday 10:00 - 22:30; Saturday-Sunday 08:30 - 21:00) Guaranteed Hours: Experience: Minimum 1 year required License: NC or Compact license Certifications: ARRT (CT), BLS Must-Have: Experience in Adult Acute Care and Emergency Department settings, proficiency with PACS and Siemens equipment, and skilled in handling a variety of CT procedures and special procedures like brain perfusion and vascular CTA. Job Description: - Perform CT scans in adult acute care and emergency department settings. - Proficiently handle equipment, including PACS and Siemens. - Conduct a variety of CT exams, including abdomen and pelvis, chest, head and neck, and spine & musculoskeletal studies, both with and without contrast. - Administer contrast media and practice radiation safety. - Conduct special procedures such as brain perfusion and vascular CTA. - Required to assist in moving patients to and from stretchers for all modalities and transport patients as needed. - Work in a stroke-accredited unit with high patient census. - Utilize the Epic system for medication, documentation, and communication. - Adapt to the scheduling decided by the manager, including mandatory weekend shifts. - Participate in unit orientation and complete required modules. - Wear Royal Blue scrubs as part of the uniform. - Strict adherence to isolation precautions and preparation of patients for scans. - No call requirement or floating requirement; however, floating to affiliated hospitals may occur based on necessity. - Work to address general CT procedures, focusing primarily on emergency room patients.
