- Worksite Location: Cedar, MN
What you'll do as a Manufacturing Finance Analyst:
- Review and analyze job orders to assess material and labor costs
- Identify variances and work with production teams to address and correct discrepancies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improving production processes
- Recommend strategies to produce products more efficiently, with a focus on reducing costs and increasing output without compromising quality
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for new products, projects, and process changes
- Utilize historical data and market trends to project future costs and profitability
- Gather and analyze data related to production efficiency, waste, and resource utilization
- Prepare reports and present findings to management, offering actionable insights to enhance decision-making
- Maintain a high level of accuracy in all data entry and reporting tasks, reviewing information to identify and correct errors or inconsistencies
- Develop and maintain financial models to support business decisions related to pricing, product development, and process improvements
- Monitor and track manufacturing costs, working closely with the finance and production teams to ensure adherence to budgeted costs
- Identify and recommend cost-saving opportunities
- Review and analyze inventory levels, turnover rates, and procurement strategies to optimize material costs and reduce excess inventory
What you'll bring to the Manufacturing Finance Analyst role:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in a financial environment, with a focus on cost analysis, process improvement, or business analysis; specifically in a manufacturing environment is preferred
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, cost accounting principles, and financial analysis
- Proficient in data analysis tools and software, such as Excel, ERP systems, and financial modeling software
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data in a clear and actionable manner
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and results-driven mindset
