Job Title: Sr. Data Analyst
Location: NYC, NY
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 6 months
Pay Rate - $70 - $80/hr on W-2 (No 1099 or C2C)
Job Description: Skills
- Experience in supporting short, and long term, data management and strategic business activities through the analysis of data.
- Ability to conduct in depth data analysis for projects as well as ongoing data quality initiatives
- Experience in creating datasets from a variety of disparate sources to further data management initiatives and processes.
- Demonstrated ability in performing data mining on large datasets to supplement data management quality improvement initiatives.
- Experience consulting with business stakeholders to document business requirements to support client needs.
- Experience presenting reports with analysis and interpretation for business review and planning.
- Demonstrated experience working with relational databases and database structures, with proficiency in SQL.
- Develop and recommend business solutions through research and analysis of data
- Use creativity and process improvement skills to expand and improve existing processes and create new ones in accordance with data governance best practices
- Experience with implementing Data Management lifecycle toolsets
- Experience with implementing master data and/or reference data programs or toolsets
- Practical experience working with multiple project management methodologies including at least one of the following: Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, SAFe
- Working with project management organizational or visualization tools; examples could be Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, Asana, Monday.com, Trello, SmartSheet, Wrike, or Rally
- Knowledge of statistical analysis, and statistical software such as SAS, SPSS or R preferred
- Four years of experience as a data analyst on a data management or data governance initiative.
- Bachelor degree in Information Science, Computer Science, or related.
