Overview
We are seeking an
High School Software Engineering Intern
in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for gaining real world experience working alongside our teams on Garmin products and will be provided with opportunities for personal growth and development, as well as exploring and learning more about Garmin, our products, our people, and our culture.
Essential Functions Learn to develop software in C, C++, Assembly language, or other selected languages for Garmin communication and navigation products in accordance with Garmin's software development methodology with guidance Learn to test software using debuggers, emulators, simulators, and logic analyzers Learn to perform software releases and software quality assurance activities Learn to perform maintenance activities for products already in production in addition to new product software design Basic Qualifications
Current Junior or Senior High School student Excellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule) 95% or higher attendance rate in high school, must be maintained while in the Garmin high school internships program Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Previous or current exposure to current courses relevant to the position More Details about the Garmin High School Internship Program:
This is an unpaid internship, students receive high school or college credit per the guidelines of their high school All interns will be assigned a hiring manager and mentor throughout the duration of the program Transportation will not be provided
