TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PICU RN in Washington, Washington DC, 20010 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Job Duration: 13-week contract Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00); Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 05:30) Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2.5 - 3 years of recent PICU experience required License: Valid state license required; pending license accepted with proof of application Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required Must-Have: Ability to rotate shifts every 3-4 weeks; every other weekend and holiday required Job Description: - Rotating shifts; positions will accommodate straight shifts if scheduling allows but not guaranteed. - Must be available to start within 3-4 weeks of submission. - Patient ratios are 1:3. - Clinicians may need to float to other critical care units as needed. - Blocking schedule accommodation is not guaranteed but may be considered. - Pediatric experience is necessary, with at least two years in the specialty. - Compliance requirements need completion by the Monday before the start. - Orientation dates are available in August, September, October, November, and December. - The position is with a children's hospital, a magnet, teaching, and Level I Pediatric Trauma Center with 323 inpatient beds, 70 dedicated to Neonatal ICU. - Work environment is smoke-free. - Certain modules are required to be completed before orientation and are not billable. - If previously employed, a nurse must have been gone for a minimum of one year to return as a traveler. - A photo submission is required upon acceptance, with specific guidelines provided. 26293356EXPTEMP Job Requirements Required for Onboarding ACLS - AHA BLS BLS - AHA Pharmacology Skills Checklist Specialty Exam 5 Benefits of Travel Nursing As a travel nurse, you'll work in various healthcare settings, gaining exposure to diverse patient populations, medical procedures, and healthcare systems.
