TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Peoria, Illinois, 61637 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Short Stay Unit Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour nights Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 1 year in General Medicine or more acute settings License: Current RN license Certifications: BLS Must-Have: 2 years of Med/Surg experience preferred Job Description: - Perform patient care tasks including vitals, assessment, and medication administration. - Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team regarding patient status and needs. - Utilize equipment such as the Epic Charting System and Pyxis Medication Cabinets. - Work in a 13-bed Observation Unit with a 1/5 nurse to patient ratio alongside a Charge Nurse resource. - Participate in unit training and orientation, including a day of Epic Inpatient Nurse training followed by two 12-hour shifts with a preceptor. - Be adaptable and teamwork-oriented in a fast-paced environment with a variety of diagnoses such as minor traumas, pre-op surgeries, and GI/GU issues. - Understand that patient length of stay is shorter than on a general medical unit, with frequent bed turnover. - Dress code requires any color scrubs without childish cartoon characters; micro fleece material is not allowed. 26439333EXPTEMP Job Requirements Required for Onboarding Pharmacology Skills Checklist Specialty Exam 5 Benefits of Travel Nursing As a travel nurse, you'll work in various healthcare settings, gaining exposure to diverse patient populations, medical procedures, and healthcare systems.
