Description As our Transmission Service Engineer , you will have the opportunity to conduct power system analysis studies that support MISO’s long-term transmission service request process. Additionally, you will coordinate and interact with market participants, interconnection customers, and transmission owners, engage in process improvement initiatives and project management, and take ownership of specific business practices. Within your first year as our Transmission Service Engineer , you will know you are successful if you: Perform simulations and technical analysis effectively without daily oversight. Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the long-term transmission service study process. Prepare and deliver relevant communications and data to our customers, both internally and externally. Our Transmission Service Engineer requires a talented professional who hold a bachelor’s degree or higher in one of several engineering disciplines. Please refer to the list below for the qualifying degrees. Appropriate level will be determined based upon experience and knowledge. Preferred Previous energy industry experience. Specific experience within any of the following applications: PSS/E, TARA, TSAT, and VSAT.
