Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Senior Network Architect SME to design, implement and maintain our organization's network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, designing network solutions, and ensuring the network infrastructure is reliable, efficient and secure. The Senior Network Architect SME will work closely with other IT teams, stakeholders, vendors, and partners to ensure smooth network operations, optimal performance, and maximum uptime.The ideal candidate shall serve as the knowledge expert for the architectural design, development, and deployment of the enterprise's overall systems. This SME should have proven experience defining system solutions based on client needs, cost, and required integration with existing applications, systems, or platforms. Researches, identifies, selects, and tests technology products required for solution delivery. This SME must have knowledge of establishing, implementing, and documenting the technology integration or migration strategies.
Responsibilities:- Design and implement complex network architectures to meet business needs and requirements.
- Collaborate with IT teams, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure effective planning, implementation, and maintenance of the network infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configuration details, and technical specifications.
- Configure and troubleshoot network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Monitor network performance and implement necessary adjustments to ensure optimal network efficiency, reliability, and security.
- Manage and maintain network security, including firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and other security tools.
- Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure network uptime and data protection.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other IT team members.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in network architecture, design, and security.
- Active DoD Top Secret Clearance.

Bachelor's in Science degree in Computer Engineering, computer information systems, telecommunications, or management information systems, or have 10 years of documented experience, relevant to this key position.
- Must have a minimum of 7 years of related IT systems experience with a minimum of 3 years of experience in an Architecture role.
- Minimum DoD 8570 IAT Level III Certification required.
- Produce network architectural drawings and schematic
- Provide design and implementation support for VMware ESX/VSphere Virtualization Technologies
- Provide design and implementation support for Storage Area Network(SAN)
- Manage all aspects of the project related to systems and technology.
- Facilitate collaboration and cooperation with the primary system vendors.
- Drive innovative technical solutions to meet the system owners functional
- Complete technical documentation to design, test, implement, and train transition solutions to operational support.
- Produce documentation for use in configuration, repair and troubleshooting of hardware, software and network operating
- Implement systems as needed based on network application requirements.
- Perform independent verification, validation, and project management for current and future
- Support as needed DoD Information Assurance Risk Management Framework (DIARMF).
- Senior knowledge of Microsofts infrastructures, including, but not limited to: Active Directory, DNS, and
- Senior knowledge of TCP/IP network
- Current, enterprise-class infrastructure/system engineering experience with Microsoft platforms running on Client servers utilizing direct-attached and network-attached
- Advanced experience designing, implementing, and managing high availability
- Experience with DR solutions and technologies for complex systems.
- VMware ESX/VSphere Virtualization Technologies (ESXi 6.0 or greater, Virtual Center, P2V Tools) design/management/implementation.
Posted Min Pay Rate:
USD $137,631.74/Yr.
Posted Max Pay Rate:
USD $229,386.24/Yr.
Salary Disclosure:
Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, geographic location, contract affordability, internal equity, education, and certifications.
The upper end of the salary range may be reserved for individuals who have demonstrated tenure with the company, seniority, and proven excellent performance. This includes factors such as education, certifications, and extensive/unique experience beyond what is required.
