Job Duties include but are not limited to: Involves providing administrative oversight for the Dean, including the coordination of communications and pertinent data among a group of the executive's subordinate management staff. Performs and / or oversees special projects or assignments that are highly sensitive or complex in nature, requiring a high level of independence and initiative in execution and implementation. Handles details and oversees work of a highly confidential and critical nature to support the executive on matters of significance. As the Executive Assistant, provides executive level analytical and planning support in managing and coordinating the scope of the Executives calendar and priorities. Schedules and manages meeting logistics (meeting rooms, catering, computer/AV equipment, parking, etc.), coordinates all travel, processes payments/reimbursements, and plans events for the School of Education. The Executive Assistant provides proactive, responsive, and effective executive-level support and serves as a central resource for the coordination of all events and activities. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Demonstrates knowledge, experience, and flexibility in providing analytical and executive administrative support to management staff in an environment with constantly changing priorities and assignments; ability to act with professional demeanor and diplomacy. Takes initiative on projects and tasks, uses discretion with confidential information, and assures timely follow up and completion of projects. Provides general support for the Dean's Office as assigned.

$30.56/hr

Required: Familiarity with the organization's processes, protocols and procedures. Knowledge of federal regulations such as FERPA. Thorough knowledge of common organization-specific and other computer application programs, including Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat. Solid analytical / problem-solving skills. Political acumen and sensitivities to the differing perspectives and political circumstances within all levels of the organization as well as the Office of the President and external constituencies. Strong service orientation. Strong skills to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, faculty, alumni / donors, students and external constituencies, both verbally and in writing. Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills to compose letters, memoranda, reports, and other documents with proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Advising and counseling skills. Ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes. Ability to use high-level discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality. Solid skills in problem identification. Small to mid-level project management skills. Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training 1-3 years Relevant Experience Business or business casual attire, depending upon the schedule for the day.

TEMPORARY EMPLOYMENT This is a temporary employment recruitment reporting to the UCI Temporary Employment Services (TES) Department. Interviewing and hiring is based on internal hiring needs and how well the candidate's experience matches the assignment requirements.Certaintemporary assignments may require clearance of a health physical or require a valid California Driver's License for driving university vehicles. The majority of our temporary positions are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. We also have occasional part-time, weekend, and evening hours available, depending on the assignment.
